FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Find more FAQs here, and contact me here for more non-wedding related questions.

  • For custom wedding invitations, depending on the complexity of your invitations, you can expect the entire process to take anywhere from 6-12 weeks.

For semi-custom wedding invitations, we can get your design approved and printed in about 3-4 weeks.

  • If you want to go the luxury route for your wedding stationery and day-of paper and signage, set aside 7-9% of your total budget for paper goods. The majority of that budget will go toward your invitation suite, especially if you are expecting to have a lot of guests.

I know you may be looking for an exact number, but it’s just so hard to say without knowing your needs! Reach out to me — I always offer a free consultation and estimate and I do my absolute best to stay within your budget or recommend a different route if necessary. My clients typically invest $1,500 - $4,000.

  • This is a hard question to answer, because the pricing varies so much from project to project! But custom can cost anywhere from $1,500 to $4,000 more than semi-custom.

  • While I do not have a minimum order quantity, please note that any orders less than 50 will be significantly more expensive per guest/family than 50 or more.

  • I do (almost) everything in house—design, calligraphy, letterpress printing, watercolor, illustrations, assembly, etc., because that way, I get to pay close attention to quality and ensure that every aspect of your invitations to meet my high standards.

On top of that, I love paper goods and everything that has to do with paper, and I always have! Ever since I was young, I was obsessed with improving my handwriting and exploring with paper crafts. My passion for paper pushes me to learn and keep expanding my skills.

There are definitely things I outsource, such as foiling and digital printing, but I hope to be able to include those services in my studio in the future.

  • When you add up the hours of design, finding the best materials, ordering, printing, assembling, then add the cost of materials, overhead, shipping costs, as well as experience, schooling, continuing education, and more, you’re looking at a huge investment that your invitation designer has put into honing their skills.

So instead of thinking of it as expensive paper, think of it as commissioned art that your guests get to keep and admire. (And I guarantee you that a LOT of your guests will keep these invitations. And rave about them. And tell you that they’re the most beautiful thing they’ve ever received in the mail.)
